This place isn't AYCE, but what it makes up in quantity, it more than makes up in quality of food and service. Since the server is also the chef, the latter is key.

And I couldn't really ask for a better server than Daniel Lee. Very friendly and it was great to have another fellow grilled meat enthusiast BBQ for us. Cooked the meat perfectly pink, as it should be. His technique combined with the marbling of the short rib made the texture buttery smooth while it maintained the juicy beef flavor.

This place transcends its price-tag as an eating experience to be enjoyed. I'm glad this one opened local to me. Saves me the trouble of sitting in traffic and trying to find parking compared to the one in ktown. They're pretty similar in most respects.

Quality of food and service is what makes this place bomb.

We went on a saturday night and there was only a 5 minute wait.

I want to say this place is overpriced and overrated but I just enjoy my experience everytime. Plus, Kang Ho Dong is awesome himself and it just makes me happy to support his now flourishing restaurant chain.

I got the beef combo this time:

    1. Thinly Sliced Brisket
    2. Seasoned prime boneless short rib (MY ALL TIME FAVORITE)
    3. Prime boneless short rib or prime rib (Get the prime boneless short rib)

The brisket was my least favorite.. It was really dry and I would assume is the healthiest option as it has no amount of fat in it whatsoever.
Not sure if they allow for replacements but I don't recommend their brisket--

The seasoned prime boneless short rib is the best galbi i've had.
It really melts in your mouth and is marinated with the flavors of love.
Honestly, I'd just come back for this and nothing else-- you can order the meats individually.

    What comes with the combo:
corn cheese (bomb but make sure to take it all out once it's cooked bc the cheese will burn and your mouth will burn if you eat it too quickly as well)
egg souffle (well seasoned, not as soft as I'd like)
    kimchi
beef brisket soybean paste stew or Kimchi stew (We got the soybean paste stew and it was bomb. Had little pieces of clam in it as well. Strong flavor)

Service is literally on point here. The servers are very patient despite how busy they are. They are on it and give you everything you need within a matter of minutes and they really take care of you. They cook your meat to perfection and either let you know when it's ready or you can start picking on it earlier if you like your beef medium.

Parking was easy as it's shared in a huge lot.

Kang Ho Dong Baekjeong is one of my favorite KBBQ restaurants!!! FYI it is not AYCE!

The service is always great, they cook for you! And the food taste amazing EVERY time!

Depending on the group size - I suggest you order a SMALL for 2 people or LARGE for 3-4 people. Another large or small for more people etc.

    The beef combo comes with:
    - Thinly Sliced Brisket
    - Seasoned Prime Boneless short Rib (MY FAVORITE!!! A garlic/honey marinade)
    - Prime Boneless Short Rib or Rib Eye (Usually pick rib eye since it comes with a short rib already)

It also comes with soybean or kimchi stew. Cheese corn, steamed egg and veggies around the grill and of course an assortment of banchans (side dishes).

Plus this location doesn't get as busy as the Ktown location!

Parking: can sometimes be a challenge with the other restaurants but isn't terrible.

    This place is excellent!

Their beer combo comes with a choice of three meats for about $60 - good enough for two to three people. They have great banchans as well! Service is good and if you get there prime time, you'll only wait anywhere from 15-25 minutes. Plenty of parking and fast service!

Recommended by Hubbers' friends describing the spot located in Irvine (or was it Buena Park?) as a "PERFECT" experience. They mentioned a Torrance location which was a delight to learn about since it is much closer to us than Irvine or Buena Park would be.

So, we came through a few days later.

Party of 4, there were no waiting issues since there were plenty of tables open. We were seated soon as they prepped our tables with banchan and utensils.

Hubbers and I decided to do the ordering for all of us. We got the chance to look at the menu prior to arrival and both agreed on getting both beef and pork combos (small.) We opted for both stews, steamed rice as well as an order of seaweed. I wanted to give their seafood pancake a try, but our server, Nicole, mentioned the two combos is already a lot of food. (Plus the banchan set already included some kinda pancake) so I decided against it.

Our first run at a K*BBQ place where they cook EVERYTHING for you. Like that in itself wasn't enough of a huge plus, they cooked everything perfectly! The staff was also attentive and made sure we had everything we needed for that excellent experience.

FOOD: 5. We had zero problems asking them for banchan and water refills. Quality of all the meat we had was outstanding.
SERVICE: 5. Our server, Nicole, switched out with other servers but the quality of service didn't falter one bit.
VALUE: 5. It'll feel expensive at first, but after the experience, it was well worth it.
PARKING: Private lot shared with other businesses. It won't be an issue as there are plenty of spots open on a Sunday lunch rush.
    OVERALL: 5.

There are two entrances so there is more than one parking option.

And I have to mention their ventilation system: it is THE best kind I've seen. There was nowhere for that smoke to go but up and out! This may be the first time I came home from any kind of BBQ not smelling like smoked food.

Fear not, first timers! If you don't really know how to eat this kind of cuisine, the servers will be more than happy to show you how it's done. They will go out of their way to make sure your experience is excellent!

Already looking forward to that next visit! And just like Hubber's friends: absolutely highly recommending!
